Reference checking is a standard way of confirming where an individual candidate has worked before, how they did there, and ideally determine if the person truly has the prior skills noted on the CV or resume and can be a good fit for the job role in mind. In addition, by conducting reference checks several other elements of a person’s background can be confirmed. Assuming the feedback obtained is positive, a candidate may proceed in the recruiting process for interview or even offer.

Some companies do not release information without prior written consent from the individual in question. As such Armada HC can facilitate this process with all parties to coordinate getting information as quickly as possible. Additionally, not all companies are legally capable of provide all elements listed above due to internal policies that prevent it or statutory regulations that prevent it.
Armada HC recommends obtaining 3-5 reference checks from prior employment sources from our candidates. Ideally these recommendations can be verified as being authentic and credible. Verifying past employment in some countries can be a challenge given the nature and circumstances. In each case, we work with the candidates to help provide us all necessary proof to the satisfaction of our clients.
Pricing is often associated with the volume and type of reference checking required by our clients. Customized solutions in this regard are available and can be handled on a per case, country, or role basis as agreed. Armada HC may have to work in partnership with other agencies and governments to fulfill this type of work as needed.
Our recruiting administration support team can deliver these services prior to candidates having interviews with clients or contingent based upon offer acceptance. We do encourage clients to conduct the reference checks earlier on in the recruiting process to avoid negative impact on the candidate experience should a negative recommendation be realized later on.
