Interview Scheduling
Scheduling interviews or even phone screens is something all recruiters have done at one point or another. At Armada we use a variety of tools that helps speed up the process by being able to confirm the availability of either party as soon as possible. This is a recruitment administrative task that can be easy outsourced so our clients can be more effective and efficient with their time.
We offer both a phone and electronic scheduling support service. The phone service which is more traditional involves us clarifying with the client (hiring manager, human resources representative, and/or any staff member) of their availability for the interview. This can be done by phone, email, chat, etc. Ideally multiple days and times will be initially obtained to give the interviewee any possible flexibility. As some candidates prefer to not be contacted by phone if at work or by email if it is not permitted to read at work or some websites are blocked – we use other technology to help finalize arrangements.
Through our website, candidates can chat with our candidate support line as an alternative method for confirming availability. In addition we are able to confirm with candidates via SMS and mobile internet site. We also utilize technology that allows our candidates to update their availability throughout the week so we can have access to their schedules and confirm interview dates and times.
The same tools and process can be applied to candidates that need to be scheduled for phone screens. In some cases our clients want to conduct the phone screens of candidates we have sourced and appear to be qualified or Armada HC has already conducted a phone screen and the client wishes to do the same. Though this could also be considered a phone interview, we try to make the distinction for both parties to be clear as to the intent of the need for contact.
Typically interviews are conducted after a person has been qualified as a candidate and thus on the “short list”. Whereas, screening via phone or possibly even in person is a step in the process of qualifying to be short-listed.
